Minutes of Last Meeting (November 12, 2009):

President's Report: Christy reported on progress for Bella Notte - Community Center has been reserved for the event, approx $150 remain to cover rental costs/insurance/liquor license. Approx 400+ letters were sent out, $132 in postage
Donations at this point: 2 twosomes for golf at Carmel Valley Ranch, dinner for 2 at Sticks in Pebble Beach, 1 hr golf lesson at Carmel Valley Ranch, gift certificate to Sanctuary Rock Gym, $25 gift certif from Safeway, 3 $100 checks from various, $25 from LeNails, Lou Calcagno sponsored a table, Rotary sponsored a VIP table, $100 check from Berry Co-op

Vice Presidents' Reports: Tamara will check ice cream distributors from the school, Foster Farms, and will check on tiramisu from the Whaling Station, who has been known to contribute. Laura will check on cannoli from Phil's Fish Market. Laura has been seeking wine contributions with limited success.

Treasurer's Report: Escrip contribution $101 this month. Lillian has been sending out letters requesting donations. Treasurer's report distributed.

DL's Report: Mike and Jim from KION want to MC the fundraiser. A bill was presented for $210 for student awards;DL stated this is a recurring expense every year


Unfinished business: --- BELLA NOTTE -- Flyers are available for distribution, thanks to Anita. Tickets are also on sale. The Venetian and the Bellagio cannot contribute to the event. Allegiant Air has not responded. We start decorating at 3:30 on Friday Dec 4, leave by 10. Michael Griva will donate 5 cases of wine. Peter Tuff, opera singer, is confirmed and will bring accompanist. KSBW will announce the event.
Pam Renteria will look into flatware, silverware and cups/glasses. She will also meet w/Christy at the Comm Ctr to get more details on available tables.
Naomi will contact Mission Linens about table coverings once Pam has dimensions
Laura, Pam and Tamara will supervise set-up
Sergio Marquez will supervise student volunteer servers (Maitre'D)
DL and Jonathan Pedroni will provide transport for sound system and stage
Dana Parry will supervise assistants in the kitchen
Tamara will contact Pink Ladies for set-up and serving volunteers.

Nov 18 - Bella Notte planning meeting - 6:30 pm - Norma's Restaurant
Dec 2 - Boosters meeting - 6:30 pm - Band Room
Dec 3 - Parade of Lights in Pacific Grove
Elks Club is requesting the band to serve dinner to Native Sons of the Golden West; need 15 students, 5 adults to serve on Dec 12 (Laura Stone and Sandra Heckel volunteered). Students can earn community service hours and as much as $3500-4000 for the band for helping at this event.
Holiday Arts Faire (Dec 15): Baked Potato Bar was so successful we want to do it again. Contributions to this (broccoli, cheese, butter, sour cream, etc) are welcome. Remember, you won't have to stop at BK on the way over!

LILLIAN - pay balances: stamps, printing, paper supplies, plates/silver, community ctr balance, grand prize cost, remaining decorations, license/insurance, thank you's, what am I forgetting ??, ??
MR PEDRONI - photographer, do you need an assistant? Do you need help bringing equipment?
NEXT INFORMAL GATHERING:
Christy's house on Nov 23, 5 pm, there will be food. We will be wrapping candles, silverware bundles, preparing decorations for Bella Notte. Call 595-8166 for directions.
